I have been in contact with a lot of devs too, and all face same problems as we do:" New data which is incomplete".
Once we have the data..... it's never-mind which database is best; I'll just copy & paste what we miss. Anybody with SQL knowledge can do that.

I Said it before, and I'll say it again; I'll stick to kobold for now....as it has a Python interface....and that enables me to do....well almost anything (even perform fixes on database) :p Maybe other system have c++ scripting possibilities, but it will never give me the freedom I have with Python (or tcl). I also don't give shit about player c[r]ap; as I can't afford glassfibre anyway, so I am stuck to my current bottleneck; my upload speed :-/

Personally I don't really care when C4 is released; plenty work to to on database issues (plenty to copy too).
Now, everybody complains about new core delays, but nobody is concerned about wrong/missing data...as if a new core release will solve that? Data which will crash C3, will probably also crash C4.

So I also stick with my idea for universal database....but don't have a clue where to start....guess first thing to to is take up contact with WDBearManager and GruntJR teams too see what raw data is available, and how it should be organised. Guess it's hardest to make people work as a team...

here is the deal, I have acces to official servers, if you need data you can only do is ask and Ill post lots of WDBs, i know that WDBs are not relayable but still its a start and nice start for static data, for dynamic data we need somekind of loggers or something...

So shall we start the Universal DataBase project?
I am no SQL expert so I dunno if it is so easy to convert DB, thats why I was asking what is the next logical step, and to me is now DB not for one Emu, but for all Emus

that guy who made the wdbearmanager could help with db updating.
as he added option to the program to update mangos DB so he might be able to help with kobold wich will make things alot easier and faster.

Antrix is basically a giant chat engine since it has no real DB to play with and Diss wont release anything (at least soon). DOA till someone actually has a DB...

Core is a great achivement though...

that is correct core is really good, altho i am not C++ expert i can see total difference between mangos and antrix, but withouth proper DB is nothing, like kobold was at the begining

antrix has 2.1 suport for the secound day, and it is the best core around, no doubt about it, needs a lot of scripting for dummy auras and targets, bout the db LDC is always no.1 meh you will see

Gosh I hope so Dissaster. I can't keep up with the changes..REALLY! I guess my server will wait a month or so till someone has the scripting and DB issues taken care of. Agreed the core looks solid as sh*t! But... I compile then hit the SVN and another revision or fix (which is GREAT!) but gotta wait till it stabilizes (version wise) to run a server for real play. Lots to re-learn on this for me (Kobold and Wowemu user) I learned compiling (easy as pie!) ..got the basic DB with fixes applied... need to extract the dbc and maps HOWEVER .. do they need their own folders (I know /maps) but is there supposed to be (/dbcs)?? Also, scripts need to be in a folder named (/scripts)?? or (/script_bins)? or in core root?

I agree on holding off till better db dont wanna stir them up too much lol some are satisfied with whats there for now

I stick with iceman and ace...Antrix is just as buggy as everything else except everythign else has fixed most of the bugs already. About support...I am sure what is meant is that one day espire's head is going to get sooo big that it will explode and then the emu will die with its core dev...

Newsflash, looking at Emupedia it looks as if Ice and Ace are already at work to help the Antrix scene.

Not realy...LDC main cause is database....regardless of emu.

That what fix on Kobold, we have to fix for all....

About bugs i have to slap espire cuz he havnt released scritps for spells lol i though he did, and yeah well ant can be buggy without them wih imortall pallas and druids soloing instances lol that was shit, im glad i dont have those on my server heheh

About the good shit... im working with ice&ace again on sth so stay tuned, LDC's finests r going to own ya once again heh.
